Eli Gershkovitch, the Pride of Gaston

With each generation comes change. Take, for example, beer! The craft brews are rapidly increasing in popularity, with no end in sight. There is global interest in sampling unique bodies and flavors that you can’t find in so-called mass market beers. I’m a porter and stout man, plain and simple. When I took a look at the list of Canada’s best craft beer, I found these suggestions appealing (Interview.net).

Nutcracker Porter is brewed by the Black Oak Brewery. This beer is known for its hint of cinnamon spice. St. Ambroise Stout is a heartier beer made by Brasserie McAuslan Brewery. If you like a coffee flavor, this one’s for you. For those who like a smoky taste, the Holy Smoke Scotch Ale is recommended. This beer gets its taste by drying the malted barley over an open fire. This brew is made by the Church-Key Brewing Company.

Then there is Steamworks Brewery, founded by Eli Gershkovitch, a world-shattering leader in producing some of the best craft beers anywhere. But it’s more than brewing that defines Eli Gershkovitch, whose success is based on simple economics, meeting the demand of beer connoisseurs.

Eli Gershkovitch is an entrepreneur, CEO and brewmaster whose journey began with one sip of a Belgian beer that inspired him to create a product that is enjoyable, tasty and affordable. According to Gershkovitch, there are several key factors for success. Hard work alone is not enough. There must be a passion for what you do. If you believe in the endeavor, your enthusiasm will naturally inspire others.

From humble beginnings, the brewery Eli Gershkovitch built has earned international recognition for distinctive blends that have become the pride of Vancouver. Being true to himself, Eli Gershkovitch demonstrates his gratitude for success by supporting causes in the Gaston community he calls home. His philosophy is that with many blessings comes a great responsibility to give back.

Writing this article has made me thirsty. I would love to head over to Steamworks Brew Pub to sample some of the finest craft beers on earth (http://www.steamworks.com/brewery)
