This program provides other dentists and practitioners the coaching and training needed to implement the diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea.

Under clinical care, the observance of sleep apnea revealed that individuals could wake up at least 30 times in one night. It was very clear a treatment was needed to stimulate the airway passages of these patients. In 2014, FDA approved an upper airway stimulator, however, this was only the beginning and more alternative treatments began to develop. During his studies, Dr. Avi assisted with the creation of an oral appliance used to treat the disorder. The devices are so small that they can be used without any bothersome machinery or irritating masks. These devices are used to successfully treat and resolve the issues of sleep apnea patients today.
