Lovaganza Plans for the Global Festival

Lovaganza has officially announced a one of a kind adventure inspired celebration, which will showcase diverse cultures worldwide. The festival will include a variety of entertainments, motion pictures, attractions as well as exhibitions. All these will be under the theme “embarking on a Bohemian adventure around the world.”

The Lovaganza celebration was at first scheduled for 2015, but to make better use of new technologies and cutting-edge concepts, it has been pushed to 2020. The time frame will give the organizers to put everything in place so as to offer the attendee an amazing experience. The four-month celebration will record cultures across the world. GTL Allegations Are Incorrect

Recently, the company Global Tel Link (GTL), issued a press release regarding Securus Technolgies – a company that provides security systems to law enforcement and corrections agencies in the United States – that is full of inaccurate statements. In response, Securus has issued their own statement correcting some of the many misleading and false claims from GTL.


To summarize the situation, GTL claims that they are now free to move ahead in developing their own products that use technology developed by Securus when in reality the matter is still subject to litigation. Essentially, GTL is not respecting the intellectual property of Securus. GTL maintains that the courts have decided in their favor in the dispute, but, in fact, litigation is still in progress and Securus remains covered by patent law.

Securus Technologies is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and was founded in 1986. The company develops and sells products related to inmate security and communications. They have always worked closely with law enforcement and corrections administrators in their mission of providing technology and services that keep the public safe while treating inmates humanely.

Thor Halvorssen-Not Your Average “Do-Goodnik.”

Thor Leonardo Halvorssen Mendoza, more commonly known as Thor Halvorssen, is a 39 year old president of the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) based in New York which he started in 2005. Being half Norwegian and half Venezuelen, he comes from interesting stock, including swashbucklers and heads of state.

His paternal grandfather was part of the Norwegian king’s consul in Venezuela during World War II. His mother is a descendant of Cristóbal Mendoza, the president of Venezuela as well as Simon Bolivar, the military leader that helped Latin America win their freedom from Spain. After exposing government corruption, Thor’s father was tortured in a Caracas prison. His first cousin, a continual challenger of the Chavista regime, is currently serving time as a political prisoner in a Venezuelan jail. Instead of being bitter, Thor claims he loves people, mostly people who are dissidents and defectors. The kind of people that challenge authority.

According to Crunchbase and Forbes, in 2010 Thor Halvorssen and a cameraman snuck into a monastery and secretly taped an interview with Thich Quang Do, the patriarch of the Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam whose church has been banned. Thich Quang Do was serving 28 years under house arrest. On the way out of the monastery, the authorities had Thor beaten up.

He was arrested and detained, all the while claiming he was a Buddhist seeker. His cameraman got out a side door with the video card, strategically hidden. Thor doesn’t just talk human rights, he gets right in there and gets involved.

Thor rejects being called a conservative. He prefers to think of himself as a “classical liberal.” He stands against any dictator. He says, “Why discriminate?” All he wants to do is rid the world of tyranny.
